About the Event

The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (Tri-County) is soliciting public comments on the region’s four-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for fiscal years 2023 through 2026 beginning February 1. People who live or work in Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties are invited to comment on proposed transportation projects anticipated to invest over $425 million in the Greater Lansing region.

Our transportation options and quality of our infrastructure affect everyone’s quality of life. From our roads, highways, and public transit system to our bicycle and pedestrian pathways, the TIP is the region’s short-range capital improvements program for all transportation projects funded by federal dollars in the tri-county region.

The public comment period on the proposed TIP projects is February 1 – February 15, 2022. Public input is welcome on each individual project, which can be viewed on an ArcGIS story map at bit.ly/TIPStoryMap.  To encourage involvement, Tri-County is offering two virtual public meetings on February 10 at noon and 6:00 p.m. Tri-County staff will guide interested residents through the TIP development process and proposed projects at the public meetings, encouraging everyone to provide comments on future transportation projects in the tri-county area.

We are committed to open and accessible events. Requests for interpretation, accommodations for persons with disabilities, and assistance with additional needs should be made five business days in advance of the meeting date. Persons with hearing or speech disabilities should contact clerk@mitcrpc.org for assistance in utilizing the Telecommunications Relay Service for these meetings.
