The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (Tri-County) is attending a series of four farmers markets throughout the region to gather feedback from the community on how to improve transportation in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties for Moving Mid-Michigan, the region's 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).
Tri-County staff will be available to answer questions and educate the public about transportation in the region, as well as promote the public opinion survey for the 2050 MTP update. Specifically, you can stop by any of the booths to pick up information about Moving Mid-Michigan and its implementation strategies, and participate in interactive activities, such as a crash statistics bingo game and a polling activity using mock coins to vote for your preferred transportation priority. You can also pick up transportation-themed educational materials and gear at the markets, such as brochures about public transit options, bike seat covers, safety tools like a safety bike light, an emergency seat belt cutter and window breaker. You will also have the opportunity to use Tri-County's mobile-friendly tablet to participate in the public opinion survey.
