The public is invited to comment on the proposed reaffirmation of the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan (2040 RTP) as part of the public comment period running from May 13, 2020 until the adjournment of the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (Tri-County) Board of Commissioners’ virtual public meeting via Zoom teleconference scheduled for May 27, 2020 at 6 p.m.
This public meeting and comment period is your opportunity to review and comment on Tri-County’s long-range 2040 RTP, which identifies the tri-county region’s transportation needs, summarizes the transportation network, and provides a vision for addressing those identified needs over the next 20+ years. The 2040 RTP is set to expire on July 29, 2020 and must be reaffirmed through December 31, 2020 to ensure a valid plan is in place until a new 2045 plan is approved, which is anticipated to take place by the end of this year. The 2040 RTP is available for review on our website at mitcrpc.org/mtp.
Information on how to participate in the public meeting will be published on our website at mitcrpc.org/news a week prior to the scheduled meeting on May 27th and will also be included on the meeting agenda. Public comments can be submitted at any time at mitcrpc.org/public-comment, or can be made at the meeting during the comment opportunity.
