Public Notice: Tri-County Board of Commissioners Meeting Scheduled as Video Call

ATTENTION!

Due to COVID-19 coronavirus concerns and our mitigation measures currently in place, which includes the closure of the physical office and suspension of face-to-face meetings, the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission’s meeting of the Board of Commissioners scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. will be held as a teleconference meeting via Zoom. This public meeting is your opportunity to review and comment on Tri-County’s long-range 2040 RTP, which identifies the tri-county region’s transportation needs, summarizes the transportation network, and provides a vision for addressing those identified needs over the next 20+ years. The 2040 RTP is set to expire on July 29, 2020 and must be reaffirmed through December 31, 2020 to ensure a valid plan is in place until a new 2045 plan is approved, which is anticipated to take place by the end of this year. The 2040 RTP is available for review on our website at mitcrpc.org/mtp.


The meeting will also include a presentation on the Michigan Department of Natural Resources grant process, and will consider the Draft FY 2021 Unified Planning Work Program, 2020 Transit Performance Measure Targets, proposed amendments to the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), as well as programmatic updates and financial information, all of which is available for public review in the Board of Commissioners packet.

The proposed amendments to the TIP, which include changes to state and local projects, are also available for public review and comment at mitcrpc.org/tip.
