COVID-19 Mitigation Measures

Updated: Apr 22, 2022

In response to the state's recommendations to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus and out of concern for the health of our community members, visitors, commissioners, and staff, the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission has implemented the following:

  • Closure of Tri-County's office and suspension of all nonessential (not legally required) face-to-face meetings hosted at the Tri-County office, effective March 16, 2020 through April 29, 2022. Exceptions may be made for limited appointments. Any required meetings or appointments will be set up allowing for social distancing. Public meeting cancellations, rescheduling, or teleconference options will be decided on a case-by-case basis and updated accordingly on our website at mitcrpc.org/meetings.

  • Suspension of all nonessential, work-related travel of staff.

  • Telework and working from home options for all staff, particularly for individuals at risk of severe illness and the medically vulnerable. Individuals are advised to use email as the primary contact method for staff and are recommended to confirm the status of meetings prior to traveling to the Tri-County office.

  • Staff exhibiting any reported symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) are expected to stay home or will be sent home.

  • Increased sanitation efforts, including masks while indoors, availability of additional hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes throughout the office, and extra care taken in disinfecting doorknobs and push bars, light switches, phone receivers, and other surfaces.

Questions regarding day-to-day activities, program operations, or meeting statuses may be referred to the appropriate staff contact via email, found at mitcrpc.org/staff.
